Most free sweatshirt mockups are shot in a grey studio. Fine in March. In December a buyer scrolling Etsy wants to see the sweater where it’ll actually be worn, and that’s what this scene does: soft mint background, a real-looking tree on the right, a single teal bauble in the corner. The sweatshirt is plain white, so almost any design colour works on it.

What’s in the free Christmas sweatshirt mockup

  • One PSD file for Photoshop
  • The same scene as a JPG, for other editors
  • 4096 × 3072 px at 300 DPI
  • Commercial use allowed under the Creative Fabrica licence

One thing worth knowing before you download. The creator, HG Designs, says the scene was made with AI assistance and then cleaned up in Photoshop. At listing size that won’t matter to a buyer, but if you sell to a client who asked for real photography, pick another file. The listing doesn’t say how the design layer is set up, so check the layers panel first: if there’s a smart object, use it; if not, place your art on top and set it to Multiply.

How to add your design

Open the PSD in Adobe Photoshop. Put your artwork on the chest, roughly where the “Place Your Design Here” text sits in the preview, and keep it a bit narrower than the space between the sleeves. A design that reaches the seams looks pasted on.

Multiply blend mode lets the fabric folds show through dark ink. For a white or pastel print on white fabric this file isn’t the right pick; you’d need a coloured sweatshirt. Red, bottle green and black linework look best against the mint background. Neon anything fights with it.

No Photoshop? Use the JPG in Photopea or Canva: place the design, lower the opacity a little, and you’re close enough for a listing photo.

Good for

Holiday print-on-demand listings, mostly. Ugly-sweater slogans, cute penguins, a plaid bow, a family name for matching Christmas jumpers. It also works for a small brand’s seasonal drop on Instagram, because the scene already says “December” before anyone reads the caption.

I’d use it as the second or third photo in a listing, after a clean front shot. The tree sells the mood; the plain shot sells the print.
