This page collects 16 free Christmas mockups: 14 layered Photoshop files and two browser editors that need no software at all. Cards, baubles, gift boxes, a letter to Santa, a framed print by the tree, an iPhone in a festive scene. Every free Christmas mockup below was checked as free on 19–20 October 2026.
Holiday design work arrives late and all at once. A shop wants its packaging shown by mid-November, a client wants the card on Instagram before December, and nobody has time to photograph a real bauble. A good mockup does that job in ten minutes. A bad one makes the artwork look pasted on, which is worse than showing no mockup at all.
So pick by scene, not by thumbnail. A square social card, a printed card with an envelope and a bauble on a tree sell three different things.
Free Christmas mockup PSD files
1. Gift box, tree and ornaments scene (Adobe Stock)

A wrapped gift box in front of a Christmas tree and ornaments, 3200 × 2200 px, RGB, delivered as a Photoshop template (PSDT, 47 MB) by mego-studio. It’s the most general scene here, so it carries a holiday logo, a gift-wrap pattern or a seasonal brand post equally well. The sample text in the preview is for display only. It sits in Adobe Stock’s free collection, and you need a free Adobe account to download it. Download it from Adobe Stock →
2. Square Christmas card for social media

A 1080 × 1080 px Photoshop template with editable text and colours. Use it when the card never gets printed: an Instagram post, an email header, a studio’s December greeting. Free from Adobe Stock. Details and download →
3. Christmas card and envelope, three scenes

Three PSD files from MockupFree.co, each 4000 × 3200 px at 300 DPI, with the card placed through a smart object. The deep green envelope is what makes it work: a flat graphic suddenly looks like post. This is the one for a printed card a client has to approve. The licence asks for a credit link to MockupFree.co. Details and download →
4. Christmas letter on a stack of paper

The largest file in the list at 6000 × 4000 px. Paper sheets framed by greenery and red berries. Letters to Santa, printable stationery, holiday invitations, anything an Etsy seller prints at A4 or Letter size. Free from Adobe Stock with an Adobe account. Details and download →
5. Christmas ornament bauble, three backgrounds

A single bauble floating against warm, cool and neutral backgrounds, 3400 × 2500 px, RGB. Good for showing one pattern three ways, or for a seller who prints custom ornaments. Free from Adobe Stock. Details and download →
6. Christmas ball hanging on a tree

5376 × 3584 px at 300 dpi, one smart object, fixed background with bokeh lights and a blurred fireplace. The creator notes the scene is AI-generated; at feed size it reads as a cosy living room. Free download on Behance. Details and download →
7. One, two or three Christmas balls

A simple layered PSD from Mockups Design: three shots with one, two or three balls, colour and texture you can change, and a background you can recolour. Commercial use is allowed and no attribution is required, which is rarer than it should be. Details and download →
8. Framed art print in a Christmas living room

A vertical 3:4 frame next to a softly lit tree and an armchair, all in neutral tones. If you sell art prints, this is the one your December listings need. Creative Fabrica offers it as a freebie with no trial required; expect to sign in to download. Details and download →
9. Christmas gift box

A free gift box from Mr.Mockup with smart layers for your artwork. Place the design, save, done. For holiday packaging or a limited-edition box, it’s quicker than setting up a full packaging scene. Details and download →
10. Christmas present with a kraft tag (Adobe Stock)

A wrapped present shot from above: twine, a kraft paper tag, a sprig of holly and a red bauble on top. Your pattern goes on the wrapping paper, your lettering on the tag, and the background colour changes too. 5184 × 3456 px PSDT, about 30 MB, from Adobe Stock’s free collection (free Adobe account needed). I’d reach for this one for gift-wrap prints and handmade-shop labels. Details and download →
11. Gift boxes scene generator
A free Adobe Stock scene generator, 3000 × 2000 px, RGB: you add your own images and text to the gift boxes. The decorations in the preview are for illustration and aren’t in the file. Handy when one box isn’t enough and you want a pile of them. Details and download →
12. Holiday Instagram mockup set
Six layouts with candles, pinecones, string lights and greenery, in story size (1920 × 1080 px) and post size (1080 × 1080 px). Light and bright rather than red and gold, which suits a calm brand. Free from Adobe Stock. Details and download →
13. iPhone 13 in a Christmas scene

An editable iPhone in a festive setting, in several phone colours. For a holiday app screen, a seasonal landing page or a December newsletter shown on mobile. Free on Behance. Details and download →
14. Animated Christmas tree ball

The only animated file here: a rotating bauble, with a static version included. Motion stops the scroll in Stories and Reels far better than a still. It’s pay-what-you-want on Gumroad, starting at $0. Details and download →
Free Christmas mockups you can edit online (no Photoshop)
Both open in Placeit’s browser editor. Upload your design, adjust, export. These two templates are free, though Placeit may ask you to log in before the export.
15. iPhone among Christmas decorations

A cinematic shot of an iPhone standing among festive props. Drop in an app screen or a holiday sale banner and export a PNG. Open it →
16. MacBook and coffee mug, cosy winter

A laptop and a mug among pillows, blankets and twinkling lights. Not strictly Christmas, but it’s the scene for a website launch in December or a winter newsletter. Open it →
Looking for a printed Christmas card in an online editor? The Christmas card mockup online previews for free, but its clean download is part of Placeit’s paid plan, so it isn’t in the list above.
How to put your design on a Christmas mockup PSD
Open the file in Adobe Photoshop, find the smart object layer (usually called something like “Your Design” or “Replace me”) and double-click it. Paste your artwork, save, close. The scene updates with the shadows and highlights on top.
Baubles are the tricky ones. The smart object wraps your design around a sphere, so the middle stays sharp and the edges squeeze. Keep text short and centred, and leave thin lines away from the rim.
Watch the reds too. Every file here is RGB, and a bright on-screen Christmas red often prints duller. If the card or box is going to a printer, check a CMYK proof before you show the client the mockup, not after.
And timing. Holiday shoppers start browsing well before December, so a listing photographed in the second week of December has already missed most of the season.
