This Christmas card mockup works online. Open it in Placeit, upload your card design, and it appears in a flat lay of red ribbon, pine cones and gold baubles. No Photoshop needed. The finished image is 1440 × 2160 px, a tall format that suits Pinterest and Instagram Stories.
One thing up front, because an older version of this page got it wrong: uploading your design and previewing it cost nothing, but the clean download doesn’t. Placeit keeps this template behind its subscription. When I checked in October 2026, the annual plan worked out to $7.47 a month. If you just need a free file, the PSD options below are free.
How to make the mockup online
- Open the template with the button below.
- Upload your artwork. The placeholder is landscape, 1190 × 850 px, so export the card that way.
- Add text or graphics from the editor tabs if you want a message in the scene.
- Check the preview, then download. This is the step that needs the subscription.
The card lies at an angle on a busy background, so thin script lettering gets lost. Bold type on a light card reads best here.
Free Christmas card mockup PSD instead
Got Photoshop? The Christmas card and envelope mockup gives you three free PSD scenes at 4000 × 3200 px (attribution required). For a greeting you’ll post on social media, the free square Christmas card template from Adobe Stock is the better fit.
More scenes are in the greeting card mockup collection.
