This is a free Christmas wall art mockup: a layered PSD where your design goes straight onto a pale wall, with a paper Christmas tree, a wrapped gift and gold baubles in front. No frame, no canvas edge. The artwork sits on the plaster itself.
That’s what makes it useful. Most holiday print mockups put a frame by the tree. This one works for things that don’t hang in a frame: wall decals, vinyl lettering, a hand-painted quote, a mural sketch for a shop window or a café.
What’s in the free PSD
- PSD file with a smart object layer for your artwork, 300 DPI
- A JPG of the same scene with the wall left blank
- Commercial licence from Creative Fabrica, the same as for any of their downloads
The file is a freebie on Creative Fabrica. You’ll need to sign in to an account to download it, but there’s no trial to start and nothing to pay.
How to use this Christmas wall mockup
Open the PSD in Adobe Photoshop, double-click the smart object, paste your design and save. Dark lettering on a transparent background looks most convincing here. A full-bleed rectangle just reads as a poster with the frame missing.
Keep the bottom of the design clear. The tree and the gift box cover the lower right corner, so a long quote should end above them. Gold and deep green pick up the props nicely; bright red fights with the bow on the box.
I’d use it for an Etsy listing of Christmas wall decals, or to show a client how a seasonal greeting will look painted on their wall before anyone picks up a brush.

Selling framed prints rather than decals? The Christmas interior frame mockup puts a 3:4 frame next to a lit tree. And the full list, from cards to baubles to gift boxes, is in free Christmas mockups.
