These are 17 free greeting card mockups: layered Photoshop files where you paste your card design in and get a photo of a real printed card, on an envelope, in a hand, on marble or under a Christmas tree. Seven of them download straight from Mckups as ZIP files. The rest come from Adobe Stock, Pixeden, MockupFree.co, LS.Graphics and two independent designers, and I opened every download on 2 November 2026 to make sure it still works.
Card season is short. Most people search for a greeting card mockup a week before the print deadline, so I’ve grouped them by what you’re actually making: an everyday card, a Christmas card, or an invitation.

All seven are hosted on our server, no sign-up, and their pages list them as free for personal and commercial use.
1. Greeting card on an envelope
A portrait card resting on an envelope and a drawing pad, shot from above. The envelope colour sits on its own layer, which is the detail that saves you time: match it to the card and the whole scene looks planned. 3456 × 5184 px, 86.5 MB. Greeting card on an envelope mockup
2. Greeting card held in hand
The biggest file here: 7546 × 5033 px, 167 MB. A hand holds the card in front of a deep green backdrop, and the lighting is already baked into the smart layer. Good for social posts, where a hand in the frame gets more attention than a flat card. Greeting card mockup in hand
3. Card with envelope and pink flowers
Soft, romantic, a little spring-like. The smart layer adds a craft-paper texture to your artwork, and the ribbon can be switched off. This is the one for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and wedding thank-you cards. 2846 × 3347 px. Greeting card mockup with flowers
4. Thank-you card on white marble
Clean and neutral, 5169 × 3446 px. Marble flatters hand lettering, so if your card is mostly type, start here. Thank-you card PSD mockup
5. Minimal greeting card
Almost nothing in the scene except the card and a sprig of greenery. The paper texture stays visible over your design, which keeps a plain logo from looking pasted on. 4500 × 2994 px. Minimal greeting card mockup
6. Postcard on a breakfast table
A flat card in a lived-in morning scene, 3259 × 4074 px. Works for postcards, small flyers and the “note on the table” kind of greeting. Postcard mockup on a breakfast table
7. Gift box with a card
A small card tucked under a bow on a present. Use it for gift tags, birthday messages or a shop’s packaging insert. 2272 × 1704 px, so it’s a web-size scene, not a print proof. Gift bow box card mockup
Free Christmas greeting card mockups
Cards 1 and 2 above already work for Christmas. These three are built for it.
8. Christmas card and envelope set (3 PSD files)
Three scenes from MockupFree.co, 4000 × 3200 px at 300 DPI, smart objects for the card and envelope. Their licence asks for an attribution link. Christmas card and envelope mockup
9. Christmas greeting card with pine branches (Adobe Stock)
A tall 3333 × 5000 px Photoshop template by Wavebreak Media, 225 MB, part of Adobe’s free collection. Portrait format suits a folded A5 or 5 × 7 card. You’ll need a free Adobe account to download it. Christmas greeting card mockup on Adobe Stock
10. Square Christmas card for social media
Not a photo of paper but a 1080 × 1080 holiday card layout with editable text, for when the “card” is going out on Instagram or by email. Square Christmas card template

11. Card and envelope by Graphic Burger (Adobe Stock)
A classic flat card-and-envelope pair, 3000 × 2160 px with smart objects, 36 MB. Free on Adobe Stock with a free account. It’s the most neutral scene in this list, so it doubles as a letter or stationery mockup. Card and envelope mockup on Adobe Stock
12. Falling invitation cards and envelopes (Pixeden)
Cards and envelopes caught mid-air. It’s the one scene here with movement, and it makes a strong header image for a stationery portfolio. 157 MB PSD with smart layers. Invitation cards and envelopes mockup
13. Square invitation card in a paper wrap (Pixeden)
A square card slid into a printed wrap. Wedding stationery designers will get the most out of it. 203 MB PSD. Square invitation card paper wrap mockup
14. Invitation and greeting card (Unblast)
4500 × 3000 px at 300 DPI. One honest caveat: this free version is licensed for personal use only, so keep it for your own cards and portfolio drafts, not client work. Invitation and greeting card mockup
15. Real-photo invitation card (Behance)
Shot on real kraft paper by the Clevery studio and shared free on Behance. Rustic, warm, good for handmade-shop listings. Real photo invitation card mockup
16. Square gift box and card (LS.Graphics)
Top view of an open box with a card inside, 6000 × 4500 px, and every colour in the scene is editable, background included. Square gift box and card mockup
17. Postcard invitation with a pen and envelope (Adobe Stock)
A mustard card leaning on a teal wall, with a pen and an open envelope in front of it. The colours read as autumn before you add anything, so think harvest dinners, school events, an October wedding. McLittle Stock’s Photoshop template is 4000 × 3000 px with three design options, free from Adobe Stock with a free account. Postcard invitation mockup
How to put your design into a greeting card mockup
Nearly every file above works the same way. Open the PSD in Adobe Photoshop, double-click the smart object thumbnail (it has a name like “Replace me”), paste your artwork, save, close. The shadows and paper texture update on their own.
Two things trip people up. First, size: export your card at the smart object’s own pixel size, or Photoshop will scale it and soften fine type. Second, bleed. A print file usually carries 3 mm of bleed; the mockup doesn’t want it. Crop the bleed off before you paste, or the design will sit slightly off-centre on the card.
Showing a folded card? Use a portrait scene (1, 3, 6 or 9) for the front, then a flat one like 11 for the inside spread. Two images tell a client more than one.
Which free greeting card mockup should you pick?
- Christmas cards for print: #8 (three scenes) or #9 (tall, festive).
- Christmas card for Instagram or email: #10.
- Thank-you or wedding cards: #3 or #4.
- Invitations: #12 for a portfolio header, #13 for wedding stationery, #17 for an autumn party.
- Biggest print-quality file: #2 (7546 × 5033 px).
- Client work: anything from #1 to #8, #11, #16 or #17. Skip #14, it’s personal use only.
Want to edit a card without Photoshop? There’s a Christmas card mockup you can edit online, but that Placeit template is paid.
